An easy knitting pattern for the timeless Mordros Sweater, made using either heavy lace weight (3ply) or 4ply yarn.

The pattern is sent by post as an A4 colour paper booklet. It is also available for instant download from Etsy, LoveCrafts, or Ravelry.

The Mordros Sweater knitting pattern includes full written instructions in English, sized from 32″ (80cm) to 62″ (155cm) bust. The design is knitted on 4.5mm straight needles in stocking stitch throughout, with naturally rolling hems.

The back and front are knitted first, then one shoulder is seamed. The neckline stitches are picked up and knitted. Then the other shoulder is seamed. The sleeve stitches are picked up and the sleeves are knitted down to the cuff. Finally the side body and sleeves are seamed.

Requirements:

• Yarn – see image for type and amount
• 4.5mm (US 7) straight knitting needles, minimum 35cm length
• 1 extra 4.5mm straight knitting needle if doing 3-needle bind-off to seam shoulders
• 2 stitch holders if doing 3-needle bind-off to seam shoulders
• Darning needle
• 4 oddments of contrasting colour yarn to mark sleeve placement

Samples shown are knitted using our hand dyed Lace Egyptian yarn or 4ply Decadence yarn.
