4ply Quarter Round – Harbour Lights: 100gram skeins of 4ply pure merino wool hand dyed in tranquil turquoise, deep brown, and charcoal grey shades, capturing the serene beauty of a harbour at night. It co-ordinates well with several of our other hand-dyed shades such as Forged Metal and Sweet Chestnut.
This yarn feels beautifully smooth and soft against the skin. It has a high resistance to pilling, making it ideal for garments as well as shawls, hats, and other accessories. It will work to any knit or crochet pattern requiring a 4ply-weight yarn.
Merino is the softest wool yarn available, and is excellent at regulating body temperature, especially when worn against the skin. Merino sheep need to be shorn at least once a year because their wool does not stop growing.
