Our Ribbon Garter Shawl Knit Kit is a quick and easy wide scarf design that will soon wrap you in luxurious warmth! It combines two skeins of beautifully soft hand-dyed Peruvian alpaca yarn with a co-ordinating hand-dyed recycled sari or chiffon silk ribbon.

The shawl is knitted sideways on straight knitting needles. There is easy shaping on one side only, which results in the eyelets used to thread the ribbon through once completed. The kit is easily achievable by beginner knitters who have mastered the basic stitches. It si equally suited to more experienced knitters who want a simple design to show off the beautiful hand-dyed yarn.

The yarn included in the Ribbon Garter Shawl Knit Kit is Chunky Baby Alpaca. It is the beautifully soft and warm against the skin, and knits smoothly without splitting. The yarn has a lovely drape and soft halo.

The kit is packaged in a reusable drawstring organza bag, which can be used as a project bag.

• 2 x  100gram skeins of Chunky Baby Alpaca yarn hand-dyed in your chosen colourway
• Co-ordinating hand-dyed recycled sari or chiffon silk ribbon
• Full-colour printed pattern with written instructions in English

You will also need:

• a pair of 8mm straight knitting needles
• a yarn darning needle to sew in ends
