Description
The Shawl Project Book Four is a shawl crochet pattern book by Joanne Scrace and Kat Goldin of The Crochet Project. The book is in A5 full-colour format, and includes 5 beautiful crochet shawl designs focusing on gradient colourway yarns.
The pattern book is a fabulous addition to your crochet pattern library and makes a thoughtful gift for a crochet friend. Include the yarn for one of the projects for an extra-special gift!
Each pattern includes full-colour photos plus written instructions in UK terminology with US terminology in brackets. Some patterns also include charts.
The book also has useful sections about how to follow the patterns, and a section about pattern design and shawl shaping.
The patterns use the following yarns:
– Diffraction: a large triangular shawl using 2 x 150g skeins of 4ply/fingering yarn such as 4ply Decadence
– Distant Star: a textured kite-shaped shawl using 250g 4ply such as 3 skeins of 4ply Quarter Round or 4ply Sparkle
– Intersection:a long rectangular scarf worked in interesting semi-circular modules using skein of heavy laceweight yarn such as Lace Egyptian
– Rings of Saturn: an asymmetrical crescent shaped shawl using 200g of 4ply yarn such as 4ply Quarter Round or 4ply Sparkle
– Parallel Lines: a deceptively simple rectangular shawl worked on the bias using a fine 4ply yarn.
