4ply Gold Sparkle – Sunset Party: 100gram skeins of soft high-twist 4ply merino wool blended with nylon and gold stellina sparkle. This yarn is hand dyed in my dedicated home dye studio in Cornwall.

This soft yarn has a subtle sparkle from the gold stellina, which is a polyester/nylon fibre spun into the yarn. It feels soft and comfortable to wear. 4ply Gold Sparkle is an ideal yarn for a wide range of projects from socks to shawls and garments.

Merino is the softest wool yarn available. It is also excellent at regulating body temperature, especially when worn against the skin. Merino sheep need to be shorn at least once a year because their wool does not stop growing. As a result, merino wool is a highly sustainable fibre.

The nylon element adds durability to the yarn, therefore making it ideal for socks. The yarn also works well in garments and shawls, such as our Triangle Trellis Shawl knitting pattern.
