Description
4ply Quarter Round – Buddleia: 100gram skeins of 4ply upcycled pure merino wool hand-dyed in a pretty soft pink and lilac colourway. I have hand-dyed these yarns in my dedicated home dye studio near the Perranporth coast of Cornwall.
This upcycled pure merino wool feels beautifully smooth and soft against the skin, making it ideal for shawls, scarves, garments, hats, gloves, etc. It will work to any knit or crochet pattern requiring a 4ply-weight yarn.
Upcycled Merino yarn is merino that is re-blended from various spin runs at the mill. The waste is collected together, recombed, and made into this soft yarn.
Use one 100gram skein to make any of our 4ply designs:
- Triangle Trellis Shawl (knit)
- Waterlap Shawl (knit)
- Tehidy Shawl (crochet)
Merino is the softest wool yarn available, and is excellent at regulating body temperature, especially when worn against the skin. Merino sheep need to be shorn at least once a year because their wool does not stop growing. The merino yarns that we stock are mulesing-free.
