Description
4ply That Yak – Stormy Night: a soft but durable yarn, suitable for next-to-skin knitting and crochet projects such as socks, shawls, hats, garments, etc. This is a repeatable colourway, hand dyed in Cornwall.
One 100gram skein goes a long way – I knitted a pair of adult size socks plus stretchy fingerless mitts using just one skein of 4ply That Yak yarn in shade Green Goddess.
Merino is the softest wool yarn available, and is excellent at regulating body temperature, especially when worn against the skin. Merino sheep need to be shorn at least once a year because their wool does not stop growing.
Yak is comparable to cashmere in it’s softness and is warmer than merino wool
The nylon element adds durability to the yarn, making it ideal for socks.
