Description

The stunning Zennor Mermaid Shawl Knitting Kit is a collaboration between Perran Yarns and designer Kate of Kate Whiting Designs. The kit includes 300grams of pure merino wool hand dyed in the colourway shown.

Kate wanted to create a shawl that pulls together the Legend of the Zennor Mermaid together with colours and sensations of the sea and a memory of special childhood holidays. She visualised the waves of the sea, mermaids scales, still waters and the ripples of water and seaweed, all of which are depicted within the stitches that create this shawl.

The shawl is knitted back and forth on a 3.5mm circular knitting needle which is not included.

The yarn included in the Zennor Mermaid Shawl Kit is 4ply Quarter Round – a smooth pure merino wool which feels beautifully soft and comfortable against the skin.
