Description

Our beautiful Light and Lacy Shawl crochet design is worked using a simple pattern repeat that is easy to crochet and memorise. It requires just 1 x 100gram skein of yarn.
The original pattern is worked from one corner upwards, keeping one side straight and increasing on the other, until all the yarn is used. Once finished, simply sew in the ends and block to open out the design to its finished size and beauty.
Approximate time to crochet is 16-20 hours, plus blocking time.
The colourways are hand dyed onto one of the following luxurious yarns, both of which have 600metres per 100grams.
-
- Lace Decadence: a beautiful blend of 55% British Bluefaced Leicester wool and 45% silk with a wonderful sheen and drape
- Lace Egyptian: a gorgeously soft matte blend of 50% Baby Alpaca, 25% Linen, 25% Silk, also with a lovely drape
Both yarns are classed as ‘heavy’ laceweight yarns, meaning they are exactly between standard 2ply laceweight and 4ply sock yarn weight. They are a great introduction to laceweight yarn as they are less fiddly to work with!
